wait. WHAT?!?!??! Wedding Photographer? Me? Ummm…I guess so! I don’t know that I’ll actively pursue weddings but I won’t say that I don’t shoot weddings if a client calls with an inquiry either.

I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful bride and grooms wedding on October 16.  I also had a fabulous second shooter, Nadine with me who captured some great shots!  The weather was amazing here in Austin, nice and warm with a light breeze, great for photographs on the Capital lawn after the ceremony.  Ashley and Marcellus exchanged vows at the Central Christian Church on Guadalupe. The church is amazing and huge and has a good amount of light streaming in through the gorgeous stained glass windows.  After they became Mr. and Mrs. they celebrated with family and friends with a reception at the DoubleTree Hotel just a few blocks away.

I have to admit, I was a HOT MESS of nerves before the wedding. I’ve never had to do a reshoot and have never had an unhappy client and I’m confident in my abilities as a photographer but shooting weddings is a whole new beast for sure. There are no do overs. I’m happy to report though that I am very proud of my images and captured everything with about 1500 images! That is ALOT of images people…lol

While the wedding was alot of work, it was also a VERY rewarding day to be a witness to the love this couple shares with not only each other but with all who joined them for their special day.

Congratulations again Marcellus and Ashley! Thank You for putting your confidence in me for this once in a lifetime event, I look forward to working with you again when those gorgeous babies start coming;)
